FREE Quilt Patterns
There are many free quilt patterns available on the web. Please be careful using free things of any kind. Make sure the quilt patterns are not direct copies of quilt designers who are working hard to make a living off of their patterns. And beware that many free patterns come with graphics and directions that may be inaccurate and frustrating to use.
If you are a beginner quilter, these patterns may be a tempting thing for you to try. However, you won't know if the directions are good or bad, etc. I really recommend that you try a pattern from a designer in the know until you've gained some experience.
When searching for links for this page, I tried to choose websites that have a large variety of patterns avaiable and ones that don't seem to have any special hoops to jump through before you can have the pattern.
Hopefully narrowing to these few links will help with your decision on quilt design and save you time to use for quilting!
You are responsible for choosing the right pattern for the skill level you feel you are at. Always do a test square before cutting fabric for an entire quilt. Taking this step will allow you to judge the pattern at an early stage before you have invested a lot of time (and money on fabric).
